Replace Catholics with African Americans, and JFK with Barack Obama, and then replace abortion with homosexual marriage. It's true that belief in heterosexual marriage is not inherent in being of the black African race the way defense of innocent life is inherent in Catholicism, but 2/3 of African Americans oppose it.</p> So what would correspond with “abortion?” Try this. While I will have to read Yoder's book to discover this for myself, I wonder if you have mistaken the Anabaptist, and Biblical belief, of non-resistance for pacifism. Also, I'm curious to hear more of your mention of the "flight towards Anabaptist churches." Born and raised in the Mennonite church, I've found the flight to be too often in the opposite direction.
